No foundation, no future. Time for an encore!

The future of Swiss live music is built at the grassroots — in small venues, music clubs, cultural centres, and independent festivals. Switzerland's live music scene is alive. Average ticket sales are stable in many places, audiences are there. And yet many clubs, festivals, and promoters are facing growing pressure. With the awareness campaign «Encore», we — the Swiss Live Music Association in cooperation with PETZI — want to make this reality visible and discuss together how the ecosystem can be strengthened in the long term. One possible approach is a voluntary contribution at large events — a so-called ticket levy — that redirects part of the value created back into the grassroots of the scene. This campaign is an invitation: support us in developing and implementing the foundations for a ticket levy in Switzerland.
